Student Pilot
Permit; Ultralight Aeroplane
Requirements:
Age; 14 yrs. .....Medical (Class 4 - Self Declaration);
Complete and sign a Civil Aviation Medical Declaration. Or; Complete a Medical Examination given by a Civil Aviation Examiner. Student Pilot Permit is issued by Airflow Ultralight Aviation at the time of Solo.
Private Pilot
Permit; Ultralight Aeroplane.
Requirements;
Age; 16 yrs. ......Medical; As for Student Permit.
Ground School & Flight Training; A minimum of 10 hrs. flight time, of which at least 5 hrs. are dual instruction and 2 hrs. Solo. In addition a written Transport Canada exam.
AIRFLOW ULTRALIGHT AVIATION Offers a Transport Canada Approved novice course of Flight Training towards the Private Pilot Permit, Ultralight Aeroplane.

Free 1 hour rental when the full course is paid by cash/cheque, at commencement of training.
Course based on fifteen hours dual instruction. Additional dual training, when required, charged at $99.00 per hour.
Theory of Flight, Meteorology, Navigation, Air Regulations,Air Traffic Rules & Procedures, Radio License and Computer based training
Training is offered on a three axis Ultralight powered by Rotax four stroke engines. Control of the aircraft, and confidence, are developed through inflight instruction. A dual Cross Country flight is included as part of the training.

Crediting Flight
Time
Pilot in command (Solo) flight time in a three axis ultralight may be credited towards the total time required for conventional Pilot Licenses on the following basis:
a). Private Pilot Licence: 10 hr.
b). Commercial Licence: 25 hrs.
c). A.T.R: 50 hrs.
d). Recreational Permit: all dual and solo hours

Age; 18 yrs. .......Medical; Category 1 or 3 unrestricted
Qualifications; Private Pilot Permit, Ultralight Aeroplane, with a minimum of 50 hrs. flight time, of which at least 25 hrs.are solo flight & 5 hrs dual Instructional Technique. Ground School of Instructional Technique. Transport Canada written examination.
P.P.L.: Total time may be reduced to 20 hrs. with at least 5hrs. dual inflight instructional technique.
